MILAN: Anna Piaggi and her hats

This weekend marks the debut of “Hat-ology,” a retrospective dedicated to the eccentric Anna Piaggi and her legendary collection of hats. Presented at the Palazzo Morando, just one year after her passing, curator and milliner Stephen Jones sheds light to the magical life of the fashion editor through her unique collection of headwear. On display is a frivolous range of everything from Chanel haute couture to more casual wares like a Prada baseball cap. For those in town for Milan Fashion Week, be sure to stop by and discover the brilliant personality of Anna Piaggi. –Sarah Ryan Hecht

“My hat is personal. It is what contains the soul, the feeling, the sensation that moves this little world around.”
–Anna Piaggi, 2011
