Kessler-Sanders comes from the Vera Wang Group, where she was executive Vice-President and Creative Director

Michelle Kessler-Sanders has been appointed president of Calvin Klein Collection.

Most recently, she was executive vice-president and creative director of the Vera Wang Group. Previously, she was fashion director of T – The New York Times style magazine.

John Van Glahn, who had been president of the wholesale collection and global licensing, will continue as president of the latter.

Kessler-Sanders, meanwhile, will be responsible for overall brand strategy, growth and profitability of the Calvin Klein Collection business.

Additionally, she will oversee all day-to-day operations and financial functions of Collection, which comprises women’s, men’s and accessories. She reports to company-wide CEO Steve Shiffman.

Francisco Costa, women’s creative director of Collection, and Italo Zucchelli, men’s creative director, will continue to report to Shiffman.

“Her hire marks a significant step for Calvin Klein Collection as we further elevate the brand’s position within the luxury world,” WWD reported Shiffman as saying.
