If you’ve been wandering down Regent Street in London within the last week, you can’t have failed to notice the sizeable new Michael Kors flagship store.
It’s the largest European offering for the luxury accessories and ready-to-wear line, covering over 16,275-square-foot, set over three floors.
The offerings include the Michael Kors Collection and MICHAEL Michael Kors labels, including handbags, small leather goods, watches, jewellery and eyewear.
But more importantly the store is an opportunity for fans of the menswear line to have a physical store in Europe to touch, feel and play with the menswear offerings before buying. This is vital in today’s market even though customers are attracted to online in their droves, they still value a luxury retail experience, seeing and feeling clothing in store.
Speaking about the new store John D. Idol, Chairman and CEO of Michael Kors said: “Our Regent Street flagship illustrates the evolution of the Michael Kors brand and the scope of our commitment to the business in Europe.
“This new European flagship enables us to present the full range of our luxury offering, including our exciting and fast-growing menswear line.”
The men’s shop is situated on the lower level of the store, and is designed with custom seating, along with a full-size pool table.
In terms of products the offerings include a wide range of modern sportswear, suede and leather outerwear, dress shirts and ties, bags and small leather goods.
This is an important time for menswear, with the industry growing considerably, and department stores such as Harvey Nichols putting a bigger focus on their offerings. This Michael Kors flagship is a nice addition to the ever-growing men’s market.
