Though it’s been a regular menswear love fest here at Stylesightings, there’s always room for more! Today’s edition of Menswear Monday features Costume National’s relaxed yet urban Spring/Summer ’08 collection, which was all about playing with proportions. Super long sweaters, enormous V-necks and hand-covering shirt cuffs pushed the boundaries of menswear and made the models’ bodies look even longer and leaner (a feat in and of itself). Check back later today for a taste of my trip to the Hamptons, and don’t forget to click ‘more!’

American Apparel’s Deep-V: you’re excellent, but consider yourself one-upped!

Sleeves that cover my hands always make me feel cozy and protected, so of course I’m into these button downs.

Apparently, Ennio Capasa and I share a love for Thai fisherman pants, the difference being that I wear mine around the house incessantly and he puts them on the runway and says he designed them.

Wait…is that…yes! It’s actually a turban! We have kind of an unofficial turban watch going on here at Stylesight, so this is just thrilling.

When I saw this, my first thought was “the Puffy Shirt episode!” Somewhere in L.A., Jerry Seinfeld is smiling his gigantic big-toothed smile.

Super skinny ties will always scream ‘Hedi Slimane’ to me, but the length sets these apart.

so, anyone who is not ready for hairam-hammertime pants and are accepting of the turban (particularly on a man!?!) are beyond me. i for one am not ready for the man-turban. whoa.

  • the man turban. murban? does a turban know gender? i’m not ready either. xo

  • i am loving this grey color some of the designers are doing. Also like the deep v neck shirts, and the longer sleeves. And long super skinny ties are a favorite of mine.
