Since we all love workwear so much, I thought we might take a few style cues from some turn-of-the-century newsboys. The newsies look effortlessly put together and disheveled at the same time, with the perfect amount of wear to their work clothes. And while this all may stem from each boy only having one outfit of clothing to their name, they look amazing nonetheless.
Children’s wear has inspired fashion in the past; the “youthful” look of 1960s women’s wear was achieved by applying children’s wear shapes for women in adult proportions. As men style their late summer and early fall looks, we can only hope to look as marvelously tousled as an Edwardian newsie.
