Quirky art and design store Third Drawer Down has opened its second Melbourne store in the center of Prahran. Owner Abigail Crompton commissioned graphic artist Camille Walala to design and paint the exterior of the store, which was inspired by Nathalie du Pasquier’s 1980s prints and the African Ndebele tribe, while lights and planters were provided by Kirsten Perry. The bright and colorful store façade features a standout graphic design in cobalt blues, turquoise, lemon yellow and monochrome, combining a series of geometric shapes and repeat chevron patterns. The store stocks design-oriented books and quirky homewares across furniture and crockery, as well as jewelry and accessories. –Emily Cater
