Media: Virgine Magazine

Virgine is the new New York based bi-annual fashion magazine with a difference: a charitable conscience, and a fresh focus on promoting independent fashion, art and music from around the world.

In a collaboration between photographers Ryan Yoon and Seiji Fujimori, Virgine aims to create content that increases ethical awareness, and bridge the gap between different industries, offering a fresh perspective for each issue.  Each first page of every issue will feature charity orientated advertising, as well as a host of up-and-coming, not necessarily established, artists, and will focus on these artists creating content that is outside of their regular discipline.

“A New Beginning” cites Editor-in-Chief, and fashion photographer, Ryan Yoon, heralding the inaugural issue, which inspired the title name and the magazines manifesto.

“The passion and desperation to create something different from existing fashion, art and music publications led me to start a new platform where we can express ourselves without limits.”

The debut issue has already hit newsstands and features editorials on Azzedine Alaia, model Heather Marks and the sculptor John Balssederi (currently featuring work at the Saatchi Gallery in the exhibition The Shape of Things to Come: New Sculpture).  – Samantha Fox
