MaxMara relives the ’70s

Milan: The ’70s and the archive campaign imagery of Angelica Huston photographed at Milan’s Grand Hotel in 1971, appeared to be the inspiration for the Spring Summer collection at Max Mara. Micro florals and mini geos were scattered over blouses, midi skirts, not to mention, knee high boots, sandals, and cloche hats for a disarming head-to-toe look. Larger florals that looked like abstract painterly florals, appeared to resemble a camouflage print. Highlights of the presentation came with a slight military feel, elements of which appeared in cropped elastic waist jackets, pants and skirts – khaki solidified the look. Perfect pieces for the Max Mara woman. – Lizzy Bowring
