Max Azria

New York: If the now-permanent front row presence of Leigh Lezark is any indication, Max and Lubov Azria seem to have their sights set on a more contemporary, edgier customer for Max Azria. The label continued the upward trajectory jump-started by little sister line BCBG earlier in the week, taking that collection’s clean, relaxed urban sensibility and adding a tailored polish with menswear influences and luxurious fabrics like fur and embossed leather. The collection worked best when straddling the lines between feminine and masculine, precision and ease, such as a cozy sweater paired with a sweeping maxi skirt or an oversized parka worn over a little black dress.
