Returning to his hometown for the 25th Anniversary of London Fashion Week, Mathew Williamson revisited his nights at the discotheque with a collection full of party favorites. Paper-bag waist skirts and shorts had a reflective quality in foil-finish leather and coppery metallic taffeta. Motocross jackets were embellished with rounded studs at the shoulder and cropped sequined chubbies had decorative short sleeves, possibly inspired by pieces he saw during his 80s jaunts. Printed cut-out dresses were collaged together with satin strips, revealing bits of skin. Rorschach prints in topical florals were used for dresses and tops; pieced leather biker pants brought a tough element to these delicate patterns.
