The much-anticipated release of Madonna’s junior clothing line, Material Girl, had tweens lined up in front of Macy’s Herald Square location at 5:30 AM yesterday (Look-a-likes were at the doors to greet them). Major looks from the pop star’s wardrobe in the 80s were revamped into key items perfectly appropriate for today’s young style stars. Madonna and her daughter, Lola worked closely together on pulling pieces from some of the singer’s early work like the music video, “Like a Virgin” and the movie, “Desperately Seeking Susan”. Tulle skirts, denim jackets and lacey leggings all made the cut. Gossip Girl star, Taylor Momsen, is the spokesmodel for the campaign and her bad-girl, rocker attitude seems to be helping draw attention to this afforably priced line.
