SOFT MEETS SKIN TIGHT
London: Mark Fast has never been afraid of a sexy silhouette, in fact his entire career is built around wickedly tight knit spiderweb dresses. Thankfully, he also understands his niche and for S/S 13 didn’t stray from the formula. This time around the theme was 90s hip-hop, complete with door knocker earrings and chunky gold chains, while net minidresses embellished with fringe were paired with oversized nylon windbreaker ponchos. Pastel lurex was also a new inclusion and the material merged perfectly with Fast’s club-ready collection, as did monochrome honeycomb knits with a fresh surface texture. More feminine overall due to a softer palette and swinging tassels, a few Spring pieces could even be considered appropriate for daytime.—Nina Stotler
