London: The most immediately noticeable elements about Marios Schwab’s current Cruise/Resort offering were the details and fabrics he recycled from last season. The amoeba-shaped cutouts at the neckline returned for sweet cashmere sweaters. Schwab also brought back the layered mesh he played with for F/W 12. Due to the layering of contrasting colors, like black over lime green, the mesh had a wavy look that made the viewer look closer. Always a proponent of a body-hugging silhouette, Schwab presented hourglass shapes once again. This time, however, it felt slightly softer, with less boning, fewer bondage straps. The collection’s two swimwear looks had a vintage feel, with criss-crossing halter straps. For evening, Schwab veiled sequined underlayers with organza or lace, dulling their sparkle and making them even more alluring. –Joanna Manganaro
