London: Marios Schwab seems to have trained his focus on craftsmanship in recent seasons, offering intricately detailed pieces and exploring new processes. His current collection continued in that vein. Tiny punched-out holes created patterns that referenced classic brogues, while metal-tipped buckles gave looks a rockabilly edge. Pearls buried within seams and discreetly adorning trims offered a feminine counterpoint. Shapes were simple and straightforward – slim pants, straight skirts, boxy tops – letting the details speak for themselves. Elegant draped dresses were a nod to Schwab’s Greek heritage, while puffer coats were borrowed from the street and reformed into chic dimensional jackets. Though the designer seemed to get lost in the details, with silhouettes taking a back seat, one could not argue with his pieces’ artisanal appeal.
