Marco de Vincenzo

Milan: From trims to prints, fur was a recurring element of Marco de Vincenzo’s collection this season, a material he learned about from masters – he previously worked alongside Silvia Fendi designing accessories. In addition to several completely fur garments, there were furry sleeves, collars and edges. Tailored wool items and delicate chiffon blouses were decorated by printed motifs depicting locks of fur. Cat-eye buttons and leather gloves with appliqué that imitated paws hinted at more feline inspirations. The show’s kitty-cat theme was well-suited for the ladylike silhouettes that de Vincenzo favors; fur was a natural complement to prim suiting, and thigh-high stockings added a cat-like prowess to each ensemble.
