New York Fashion week comes to a spectacular close with the Marc Jacobs, S/S12 show, completed with an accompanying hit of accessories. This season the Jacobs girls are taken to a 30s-inspired dance hall fixed with old wooden beams and vintage light bulbs to parade their sophisticated elegance.
Relaxed western themes are paired with 30s feminine glamor is called out through the accent accessories. Fringed clutches and miniature totes, knotted headscarves and kitsch ankle socks completed the look for this twisted vintage story. Jacobs turns this 30s story around by adding a vibrant paintbox color palette to this season’s must-have leather goods. The azure blues and sunflower yellows continue the trend for Summer stand out for accessories against pastel and printed ensembles.
