NEW YORK…Designer Mara Hoffman has gained notoriety over the past few years for her easy, draped jersey pieces, perfect for Juniors, and particularly popular on the West Coast. Slowly becoming more focused and substantial, her runway presentation reached a new peak for F/W 08, scored to the aggressive “Paper Planes” by M.I.A. From the first desert nomad look featuring a unique knit hat, to the more feminine, printed closing dresses, Hoffman provided a clear statement which took folk in a whole new direction.
