Imagine a dream shop. There would be chocolate (because obvs) and other beautiful treats to adorn your feet and arms with.
That dream sequence is pretty much what the team at Mansur Gavriel (designers Rachel Gavriel and Foriana Gavriel) have brought to life with their new Soho pop-up store.
Opened to the public today, the pop-up is dedicated to the brand’s new S/S17 aptly named Candy Shop (see what they did there).
This latest store follows the brand’s strong DNA, luxury- check, Instagram-worthy- check, key seasonal colors- check. The brand which is a favourite of global fashion editors, broke on the scene with its luxury accessories (bucket bags and Millennial pink mules) plus a killer social media strategy to back up its great products. By crafting this signature look of its stripped-back, functional collection of bags and shoes in eye-popping brights, minimalist footwear and accessories brand Mansur Gavriel stands out from the crowd.
And the new Soho pop-up in New York is just a further extension of this. At the press opening yesterday guests were treated to chocolate in the most beautifully packed boxes, as the new season shoes and bags were perfectly curated around the store, soft pinks, bright yellows and powder blues were everywhere. It’s the product, the presentation and the price (an aspirational product at a mid-range price point) that makes this brand a true success. With the announcement that the designers will soon be offering ready-to-wear head to toe looks later this year, this is definitely a womenswear brand to watch.
