Mani Monday: We’ve Got The Blues (AKA OPI in My Car Has Navy-gation)
By WGSN Insider

It’s got an odd name and your nails will need at least three coats – but it’s totally worth the effort, says WGSN Beauty Assistant Emma Grace Bailey

I’m a sucker for a good blue hue. I think it comes from my mother who brought me up surrounded by every shade of navy, indigo, duck egg and cerulean possible. Naturally I’ve relayed this to my most exercised canvas – the nail plate – which is why this intensely pigmented, high-shine varnish wasn’t going anywhere other than my make-up kit.

WHAT: Two to three layers of OPI’s My Car Has Navy-gation. An odd name, but that’s one of the things we love about this brand right? Add a veneer of gel topcoat to intensify the shine.

WHY: My innate obsession with the colour blue, obviously. That, and the beauty industry has been all over this hue of late.

CONS: It goes on pretty thinly, I’m not gonna lie. So you need a good few coats to achieve full coverage, meaning drying time takes longer than most.
