Whether you’re lucky to enough to be somewhere that’s still summery or unearthing your autumn wardrobe, this manicure is a cheering trans-seasonal pop of colour
I’m wearing black this week – in mourning for the summer that’s already gone, replaced with monsoon-like rain and grey skies here in London which successfully ruined all weekend plans. However, in an effort to not be completely depressing, this pop of bright, fiery red on the nails acts as a handy antidote – a spot of sunshine in an otherwise dreary day.
What: Two layers of Butter London’s intense Ladybird red with orange undertones. That’s it.
Why: A classic red nail is pretty much a winner anytime of year and at anytime of day – a staple in my nail wardrobe when inspiration forgoes me.
Cons: I usually prefer a deeper red but could be persuaded to give this a whirl more often.
