Maison Martin Margiela

Like somethings straight out of a Bollywood wedding scene, Maison Margiela Spring 11 couture was nothing short of a technicolor dream.  Saturated pinks, oranges, teals, and purples were heightened by mountains of rosettes that were used to create voluminous cape-like creations.  Most wearable was a sweet floral-printed draped front frock (that gave way to a mini-skirted back view). Less successful were transparent gowns that looked like iridescent cellophane, which seemed forced against the otherwise joyous outburst of color.
