One of the things I love about major European cities is how, on the weekend, EVERYONE heads out to street markets
. I mean, this is done a bit in U.S. cities like New York and Los Angeles, but it’s not the same. In cities like London
, Paris, and Vienna you can buy everything from live birds, to great vintage vinyl, a dress or t-shirt from a young designer, and all sorts of amazing food. If the weather is nice, as it was in London over the weekend, a large part of the reason for hitting the markets is just to hang out, to eat and drink and see friends. It’s just what you do on the weekend – you don’t really question it. There’s also often great people watching. Yesterday in London, I had a butchers around the Spitalfields
and Brick Lane
Sunday markets – check out the cool kids who I saw along the way. x Eddie
