Mad Men’s first official charity auction will take place on Ebay from August 12-22. The auction will feature vintage dresses, 60s furniture and props used in episodes of Mad Men, and even a walk-on role. Lots include a teal evening dress worn by January Jones, who plays Betty Draper, a lawn green day dress worn by Christina Hendricks as Joan Holloway, and the dress worn by Bobbie Barret during her night out with Don.
The ten-day auction began today and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Lung Cancer Program at California’s City of Hope. With more than 9 days to go, the walk on role is already over 1200.00, Joan’s dress at 350.00, Betty’s dress at 122.50 and Bobbie’s dress at 305.00. If you don’t win, you can always visit your local vintage store and say you snapped up a Mad Men dress with a ‘Buy It Now’ to the chagrin of all your Mid-Mod loving friends. I guess we’ll have to wait for the next auction for some of those killer 3-piece suits. Check back in 10 days for the results of the Mad Men Ebay Auction.
