New York: M. Patmos presented a tightly edited collection for Pre-Fall, distilling each look to capture the label’s signature minimal luxury and provide their fans with easy, coordinated separates. Relaxed, pleated trousers ranging from camel and black to a refreshing poppy red grounded nearly every ensemble, cropped to the ankle length so popular this week. Cashmere knits on top proved just as wearable, from tissue-thin t-shirts to open weave crewnecks with a hint of metallic thread. Several dresses made the cut too, though a clingy beige tank was more in line with the tone of the collection than an abstract print black and white body-con sheath, which seemed a bit too aggressive for M.Patmos’ refined, upscale approach. —Nina Stotler
