Last week our team in New York were lucky enough to be invited to the Luxottica showrooms to preview the latest eyewear collections from some of the most influential brands around, which included Ray-Ban, Burberry, Persol, Ralph Lauren, and D&G.
Alongside striking new square, rounded and slight cat eye silhouettes, some of the most exciting trends focussed on materials. Graphic gingham prints and encapsulated lace turn up the girly charm, while new natural bone looks and frosted acetate add depth and texture. New applications of color are also a major development for a number of designers, who added new berry and aquatic tones to staple somber toned ranges, with additional ombre and blocked construction designs adding a fresh twist.
