Over the past few years, we’ve been following the exponential growth and trend of spinning classes. In our report Spinning 101 the Active Team highlighted top studios and what to wear to class, not to mention a recent test drive at Soulcycle this summer where, well…we got a butts kicked by our set of wheels! The trajectory of spinning has exploded this year with brands carving out specific pieces to wear for this extremely popular studio sport.
Enter Lululemon. This incredible brand best known for its devotees within the yoga, running and cycling sectors is also now reaching out to spinning enthusiasts through its new collection of chic ensembles, ideal for class. The technical range features tanks, racerbacks, sports bras (worn with or without layering), leggings, headbands and cycling shorts in suitable silhouettes to ride in.
Lululemon also tapped spinning instructor Kate Hickl (who teaches at Flywheel in New York City) to be one of its ambassadors. The brand created an honest and touching inspirational video featuring Kate telling her story…it certainly got our attention…and let’s be honest, motivation to get to class!
More to come in the world of spinning from the Active Team…we’re quite addicted.
