Milan: The balcony of the Brera art gallery served as the venue for Luisa Beccaria’s runway show this season, and the airy space was the perfect setting for her float-y feminine frocks. Though Beccaria didn’t stray from her ultra-femme formula, the bohemian-themed looks felt more relaxed and were in line with the season’s ethereal trend. Eyelet, lace and sheer panels gave looks a light-as-air feel, while lovely florals added a touch of romance. Prim shirtdresses and straight skirts mixed with sheer peasant tops and calf-length dresses. A long column skirt made from tiny tiers of chiffon demonstrated the designer’s technical skill. Though Beccaria didn’t necessary offer her clients anything new this season, her signature look felt right, and the laid-back romantic pieces are sure to appeal to her followers.
