Louise Goldin

LONDON…Gaining ground over the last few seasons, new designer Louise Goldin has brought structure to everything from outerwear to knits. Expanding this direction for S/S 09, Goldin stuck to a washed out pastel palette which highlighted athletic shapes, folded details and machinery inspired prints. Like a softer version of the hard edged Balenciaga Star Wars/robot collection from a few seasons ago, these looks brought a feminine modernity to the runway, as well as a savvy nod to active wear. Look to this type of construction and detailing as directional juniors inspiration.
