Lot 484 is the name of the collaboration between J.Crew and Japanese denim brand Warehouse . Named after their store located at 484 Broadway in New York, the exclusive pair of jeans are made in Japan using Warehouse’s Japanese-loomed 1,000xx 14-ounce selvage denim and based on the Warehouse 800 model. Promoting the new style as a “jean for the denim purist,” J. Crew plans to offer to hem them the old fashioned way using a Union Special 43200 chain stitch machine after purchase. The unexpected collaboration brings some mainstream competition to serious Japanese denim hubs, such as Self Edge and Blue in Green.
