After its successful pop-up readery at The Standard, Downtown and school bus tour of Venice, affordably hip eyewear specialist Warby Parker has officially gone bicoastal with the opening of its first West Coast shop in the lobby of The Standard hotel in Hollywood. Based in NYC and named after characters from the work of Jack Kerouac, Warby Parker has revolutionized the glasses game by producing their own frames, cutting out the middleman, and offering online ordering and try-on services, with frames starting at just $95 a pair. They also follow the TOMS business model, donating a pair of glasses to someone in need for every pair sold. Open seven days a week, this new boutique has an optometrist on hand for walk-in appointments, with the option of picking up your glasses or having them shipped right to your house.
