Fashion Week need-to-knows: London retail
Feb 12, 2019 | By Alice Gividen
Joining the slew of new stores on Melrose, French brand Equipment has just opened their second U.S. boutique. What began in 1976 as a women’s luxury shirt brand under the discerning eye of founder Christian Restion has since expanded into T-shirts and cashmere sweaters for both ladies and gents, as well as simple dresses and PJ sets. After shuttering in the ’90s, Serge Azria of Joie and Current/Elliot relaunched the famed brand in 2010 with a revamped line of ’50s-inspired, classic designs. These high-quality wardrobe staples quickly became a fave of the fashion set once again, and now, after much anticipation, Equipment has brought its wares to Los Angeles. Stock up on perfectly fitted shirts ($198 for one-pocket, $208 for two) and comfy cashmere ($298-$338) at this airy new flagship location. xx Ashley Churchill
