The first American flagship for the Italian designers Dean and Dan Caten, known better as Dsquared2, has opened on iconic Rodeo Drive. The thoughtful 4,500 sq. foot space pays homage to the twins’ Canadian background with Canadian forest visuals and rich okume wood offsetting modern details. Lofty ceilings and mirrored walls lend a futuristic feel, opening up the space. This is the debut of a new Dsquared2 store concept, a collaboration between Dean and Dan Caten and architectural firm storageassociati. The ground floor stocks the full menswear, intimates, footwear and accessories lines, along with the Dsquared2 Classic collection of Italian tailored suiting and tuxedos. The subterranean level houses the womenswear collection, including accessories, handbags and footwear. A specially designed capsule collection of cocktail dresses and eveningwear are on offer, as this flagship puts emphasis on occasionwear for the Hollywood set. – Chris Tsuyuki
