London’s vintage scene just keeps getting better as homegrown fairs and sales continue to proliferate across town, with the latest venture, Pop Up Vintage Fairs, taking over not one but two venues in the Hampstead neighborhood on a monthly basis. The next edition will take place this Sunday, September 18th at Hampstead Town Hall and promises to yield exquisite treasures for those with the time to hop over during London Fashion Week for a peek at vintage clothing, accessories, jewelry, homeware, antiques and more from top-notch vendors, spanning the 20th century through the 1980s. In the words of organizer Maxine Stonehill, “The blandness of the high street makes vintage more relevant than ever before, creating a need for originality.” So why show up in the same Topshop frock as 5 other girls at the party?
Swing by for shopping, tea, and even a retro makeover at the fair’s Beauty Parlour, this Sunday or any of the following dates through December:
18 September– Hampstead Town Hall, 213 Haverstock Hill, Hampstead NW3 4QP
30 October– St. Stephen’s Rosslyn Hill, Pond Street, Hampstead NW3 2PP
20 November– Islington Assembly Hall, Town Hall, Upper Street, N1 2UD
4 December– Xmas extravaganza at St. Stephen’s Rosslyn Hill
Hope to see you there!
