Up on the 35th floor of the “Walkie Talkie” building you’ll find two incredible restaurants, a bar and incredible panoramic views of the Thames. In short, you’ll find a place in London you really need to check out – Sky Garden

City: London

Where: 20 Fenchurch Street, London EC3M 3BY / 44 (0)33 3772 0020

Three reasons we love it…

1. Its a gardenin the sky: Sky Garden boasts being the city’s highest public garden, spanning three storeys of the Walkie Talkie Skyscaper in the city centre. Designed by award-winning landscape architects Gillespies, it features Mediterranean and South African palm trees and flowers which flourish all year round, covering the area either side of the two restaurants. We love that it offers an experience London hasn’t seen before, by giving busy city dwellers the opportunity to wine and dine with the luxury of green space, while taking in an unmatchable view.

2. The restaurants: Visitors to the Sky Garden will find three destination restaurants – the Sky Pod bar and cafe, Darwin Brasserie, and Fenchurch Seafood Bar & Grill, all offering all-day food and drinking. Executive Head Chefs Jeremy Brown and Zac Whittle and Arnaud Delannay oversaw the menus which feature fresh seafood and grilled meat, while the cocktails include the botanical-inspired “Thyme for Tea” – a delicious infusion of gin, Sauvignon Blanc, Thyme and Earl Grey. We’d also recommend champagne and gin concoction “Green Gold”.

3. The impressive view: Have we mentioned the view? Well it’s certainly worth mentioning more than once as – other than the amazing gardens – that’s clearly the main draw here. From the incredible terrace, you can see the Shard in all its glory, along with London Bridge, the Thames, and even as far as Wembley on a clear day. This is definitely the new hot spot to impress friends or colleagues whether it be for dinner or just drinks at the Sky Pod.
