We’ve been visiting a few great press days over the last couple of weeks; check out our Levi’s highlights from the other day and look out for the G-Star highlights coming soon.
Today we’re highlighting our favorite collections from the recent IPR press day in London. They look after Lee, PRPS, Sandro, Lightning Bolt, Christopher Shannon, Paige Denim, Danielle Scutt and Firetrap among many others – lots of inspiration! You can take a look at all the photos in our image search here but for now, here are three denim highlights:
The most hyped Parisian premium high-street brand of the moment, Sandro is newly represented by IPR for S/S 12. The collection taps into an edgy yet girly rockabilly vibe with a fondant color palette updating gutsy bleach splash laundries and snug denim jackets emblazoned with biker style motifs. The range is playful, feminine and contemporary with the customized hot-short a key item for summer 12.
Lee Europe is going from strength to strength at the moment. Their S/S 12 collection looked to retro 50s vacation wear as well as timeless classics for a seasonal update. Our favorite pieces included the guy’s quilted chambray waistcoat and the lady’s button-through summer dress. Short sleeved guy’s westerns are key for next summer as we’ve been noticing all over the trade shows the last few months.
Donwan Harrel put together a great vintage selection for PRPS S/S 12, looking at classic workwear pieces and sartorial tailored detailing. Key items in the collection were the vintage pleat front trucker jacket and the neppy denim split back trouser, while the blanket striped outdoors vest, nodding to vintage jacket linings, stole our heart.
