During London Design Week the Stylesight team came across Heretic Printmakers, a London-based design company whose vibrant exhibition demonstrated a collection of abstract illustration and screen-printed designs.
Heretic’s style of work involves blending elements of collage and illustration, while using screen-printing methods for its hand-crafted quality. Themes such as psychedelia, space, folklore and mysticism embody the spirit of Heretic’s work, with the end result often used for music posters and art prints. Their vivid signature style has become increasingly noticed within the contemporary printing world and their work has been showcased extensively in London, New York, Berlin and Istanbul.
Heretic Printmakers describe their work as “the perverse and twisted, acid bathed love vortex; a kaleidoscopic, layered, carnival of ink, flesh, and forbidden fruit extensive design collection”. We could not have put it better ourselves!
Check out Heretic’s blog at hereticprintmakers.blogspot.co.uk for more of their inspiring work.
