New York…Rag and Bone
Marcus Wainwright and David Neville returned to their British roots, mixing styles associated with various street tribes; ’60s mods and rockers, ’70s skin-heads and suede heads, plus ’90s casuals. This meant a medley of parkas and leather jackets over suits, suspenders, cardigans, button-down collars on checked shirts, jeans cuffed at the top of the ankle. Checked patterns, stripes and metallic pieces broke up the otherwise solid palette of masculine grey, blue, black and white. It’s a line that might not be totally unique (strains of Neil Barrett to name just one) but offers style and quality with celebrity appeal, courtesy of Rufus Wainwright.
