Now that the speculation is over as to who Kate Middleton would wear to the wedding of the century, we thought it would be fun to pick out delicate underthings for the bridal trousseau. After all, Kate did catch William’s eye modeling lingerie in a student fashion show. Continuing the trend of sartorial patriotism, we turned to some of our favorite British intimates brands to assemble the fairytale wardrobe.
(Above) Fred & Ginger epitomizes the London lingerie scene with its pin-up girl aesthetic; a side of old Hollywood glam offers just enough luxury for the newest member of the royal family. (Lower, from left to right) To spice things up for classic Kate, we love Agent Provocateur’s playful fetish-inspired get-ups. Damaris’ lingerie features sexy, contemporary silhouettes mixed with couture details and embellishments that are just right for the special occasion. Ell & Cee’s ethereal intimate apparel thoroughly captures the romance of the big day, and its slightly bohemian flavor would be a refreshing update to Kate’s ladylike sensibilities. With its subtle vintage inspiration and luxurious fabrics, Fleur of England’s lingerie is the closest match to Kate’s elegant style. Their webshop is even offering a 20% discount right now in honor of “Wills and Kate,” so head on over to stock up on some princess-pretty underpinnings.
