Lily Allen’s London boutique, Lucy in Disguise
Sassy singer of righteous pop Lily Allen is putting her music career on the back burner (let’s not entertain those proclamations of retirement– remember Jay-Z?) to focus on her fledgling London-based vintage boutique & salon, Lucy in Disguise, and the upcoming launch of a vintage-inspired line under the same name. Designed in conjunction with Nadia Jones, sister of a certain Kim Jones [*cough* LV menswear], the dresses-only line will feature 18 pieces within a not-too-steep price range [given the source] of £95 – £350. With top global retailers such as Harvey Nichols, ShopBop, Le Bon Marché, and Lane Crawford signing on to host Lily’s wares on their racks, an international audience is eagerly awaiting the collection’s June launch date. Until then, Lily’s team has released a teaser set of sketches depicting a handful styles that will be available in the line. The Vault’s vote lies with the 30s-inspired numbers, but maybe that’s a sucker’s bet. If the real-life garments are half as charming as these sketches, Lily vintage star is sure to continue rising.
