Milan: Unlike many collections this season, Dean and Dan of DSquared2 were on hand to remind us that summer is for dressing light, and so a collection of light, bright and fun filled separates were sent down the catwalk. Plisse ruffled skirts and cocktail dresses stole the show – this was a collection that comprised the real cultural mash-up that real women wear, and the more accessible 1990s trend was channeled with crop tops and pant-waistbands on view. The reverse racer neckline was seen once again, this time on leather tops paired with wide leg relaxed trousers. Denim was shown in jackets, shorts and oversized distressed jeans, paired with dramatic black and gold embellished kimonos and wasp-waisted gold leather jackets. –Elle Hankinson
