This image of the most extreme form of denim destruction around caught our eye on a blog recently. Artist Stefan Sagmeister totally took apart a pair of Levi’s 501s back in 2009. The famed graphic designer ‘unmade’ the pair of iconic jeans, stripping and unweaving them down to their core to expose all the constituent parts for a window installation at American Rag’s L.A. boutique.
“The jeans themselves are iconic, so we decided to go with just a product shot, using nothing more and nothing less than a single pair of 501s,” Stefan explained.
It may be an old image, but for those who haven’t seen it, its definitely worth marveling at!
