Levi’s expands its in store experience with the launch of its customisation service – Levi’s Tailor Shop.

One of the best things we love about denim is its versatility. Whether raw and clean or beaten to bits and patched up, each pair of jeans is open to its own personality. Levi’s are tapping into this with the opening of their new customisation service that allows customers to choose how to personalise their Levi’s wears with a range of applications, alterations or repairs. Start the story with a new piece and make it truly personal, or give a new lease of life to a much-loved existing Levi’s product. The service, which is being rolled out in stores worldwide offers everything from decorations like studs, embroidered band or college style patches as well as the existing series of tailoring support, already offered inside stores, providing hem shortening, leg width adjustment, ripping, mending, ageing, abrasion and bleach treatments.

In an interview with Sportswear International Lizzie Radcliffe, head tailor, Levi’s Store, Regent Street said “It is important personalising one’s own trouser at best. Denim lovers prefer an authentic look rather than modifying an item last minute. This is why we can offer our in-store tailors’ team support. We can breathe new life in an old 501s Levi’s pair and transform them into a pair of shorts or add a writing to the classic Trucker Jacket, perfect for every look. It’s simply a matter of transforming your denim item into a clothing piece that reflects your own style.”

On the Levi’s website customers and Levi’s stores are sharing their customisations through the hashtag #LEVISTAILORSHOP. Whatever your style – punk or rock, pop or indie, hipster or hippie, the Levi’s tailors are on hand to help you pump up your basic denims with some much needed personality – especially for festival season! The service is already offered in some key Italian cities such as, for instance, selected Levi’s Store in London’s Regent Street, Milan, Rome, Bologna and Venice since mid-May until the end of summer. Customization services will cost from €1 to €30.00 and Levi’s are doing a special offer where if you buy 2 items you get a free customisation service.
