Today we showcase one of our highlights from the recent F/W 12 Bread and Butter trade show, Levi’s Made & Crafted.
The Levi’s Made & Crafted line has generated interest and followers over the last few seasons since its launch in 2009. The line focuses on premium materials and details fusing a modern sensibility with the brand’s rich historical heritage. For Fall/Winter 12 however, the line really took on a new, playful attitude with its colorful palette, quirky details and statement prints. LVC designer, Miles Johnson was made design director for this season and his eye for quirky and fun detailing shines through.
Miles played with the concept of the blanket lined trucker, exploring modern double-faced, denim-look woolens and a re-colored blanket stripe allover print trucker vest. Hardware has been enameled in glossy brights and even space dyed rainbow top-stitching and multicolored neps bring subtle color to classic denim.
They have also completed a fantastic lookbook to present this collection. Shot at the seaside, the vibrancy of the collection shines through with an unexpected pops of nordic blues and yellows, while the mix of blanket scarves, heavy knits and sherpa lined jackets give the shoot a warm and cozy feel.
