Officially opening the 77th edition of Pitti Uomo, designer Lars Nilsson returned to the fashion scene last night with his new menswear collection called Mr. Nils, and Stylesight’s menswear team was there to capture it all. With a slightly Scandinavian slant, the clothes were well made with a timeless appeal. Taking place at Florence’s Marino Marini Museum, attendees were first greeted by mannequins dressed in formalwear made to look as important as the pieces of antiquity they stood near. Produced entirely in Italy, the line is full of tweaked classics, modern silhouettes and understated luxurious details. Known for having a keen eye for “subtle luxury,” Nilsson’s return to design is highly anticipated by the fashion industry. Stay tuned in late January for a comprehensive look at all the events and vendors of Pitti Uomo.
