The Lacoste crocodile has found its mate…the 78-year-old French sportswear company has unleashed its newest collaboration with fellow French designer, Catherine Malandrino. Malandrino brings a sense of playful feminity to tennis-inspired collection with elegant draping, shirring, and pleating, typical of her designs. She even tweaked the classic crocodile logo to include two crocs kissing: one green and one yellow, representing the natural synergy between the two brands.
The 12-piece collection represents the comfort and simplicity of the Lacoste brand. The first of four collections feature tie-dye polos, slouchy harem pants, elegant crocheted maxi dress with polo-inspired top, and off-the-shoulder slogan tees reading “the crocodile loves you”—these are clothes you can throw on for Sunday brunch, while still feeling confident and sexy.
Other looks include pleated tennis mini-skirts, batwing sleeves knits and wide-leg trousers paired with crocheted polo tops. The collection will be sold at approximately 43 Lacoste boutiques, 11 Malandrino stores, and a few select e-tailers.
