One of LA’s most successful denim kingpins jumps back in the jean pool this summer with the international debut of KORAL Los Angeles.
Marking the return to form for L.A. premium denim, Peter and David Koral introduce a new apparel brand with the launch of the premium denim collection, Koral Los Angeles. Peter Koral and Rick Crane launched the international premium denim market as we know it today with the creation of 7 For All Mankind. Now they have partnered with Koral’s son, David, and assembled some of the best talent in the denim world to introduce a collection of crafted denim with a focus on style and attention to detail. Koral commented that the brand was created to get back to the essence of what makes a great pair of jeans: “quality material, refined finishing and flawless fit.” David has tapped Marc Atlan (previously at Maison Martin Margiela and Comme des Garcons) as Creative Director, who brings with him a sleek aesthetic of impeccable style and attention to detail.
One of the highlights of the collection is its signature “lived in length” concept of eight progressively altered washes that range from 0 months (pure, raw denim) to 36 months (hand processed to reflect the natural wear on a pair of jeans after three years), as well as a full range of richly colored hues, tinted and coated denim, and a graphic color-blocked collection. The denim line features an array of premium fabrics, many of them exclusive to the brand.
Koral Los Angeles is available in selected international boutiques now. A holiday collection will be available in November and plans for a men’s line are in development for Spring 2013.
