The Kingpins Show, which has come to be recognized as one of the most forward global sourcing trade shows serving the denim and denim-related sportswear market, is heading to the Internet with Kingpins Media, a free new online information/video service.
Kingpins Media debuts with “67 Second Sell” – a video series that profiles select offerings at various Kingpins shows around the world and provides an online platform for key trends each season. Quick, seasonal and steeped in the Kingpins culture, the “67 Second Sell” videos offer a peek onto the Kingpins show floor and give designers, buyers and press the opportunity to quickly view the latest and the greatest at each event.
Shot on location at their latest Los Angeles show, the first series includes top F/W 12 offerings from Kurabo, Blue Farm, Invista, ADL, Supima, American Denim Matrix and CDY. Andrew Olah, chief executive of Olah Inc. and founder of Kingpins said:
“Attendees come to Kingpins to view a highly-edited assortment that will inspire their designers and add value to their brands. Since our inception in 2004, we have created a unique culture that reflects the denim market that we believe is highly translatable to the Web.”
Kingpins Media will eventually grow to include unique denim-related content, including video interviews with denim designers, denim specialty retailers, cutting-edge factories, washhouses, industry insiders and tastemakers. “Kingpins Media is our way of capturing the vibe of our shows and the scope of our industry insight and sharing it online with the larger denim and fashion community,” Olah said. “We hope that buyers find it useful, designers find it inspiring and brands find it convenient.”
