If you’ve been paying close attention to the catwalks, you will have seen that they are awash with stripes. At London Fashion Week it was all about big stripes in bold colourways, while in New York it was about subtler, thinner stripes, offered up in pale colours. And, off the catwalk we’ve discovered a brand which is taking stripes in yet another direction for S/S18, with a hint of nostalgia and perfect for your next vacation.
King and Tuckfield, the premium line of womenswear and menswear, based out of east London, is offering up deckchair stripes that are reminiscent of holidays along the British coast, eating Mr Whippy ice creams with a Cadbury’s flake, and getting changed in a vibrantly coloured, seaside beach hut.
“History is woven throughout the collection, this season we trawled old family photos of 1950’s seaside excursions. The deck chair stripe was perfect for our version of modern British elegance, ” said Stacey Wood, founder of King and Tuckfield.
The collection which comes with the most beautiful pressing and finishing is on sale from January 2018 from Fenwick of Bond Street, selected independent stores and on their own e-store. And, if you are in Paris this weekend check out the brand’s S/S18 Showroom at 10 Rue Caferelli, from 29 September- 3rd October.
