London: This season, Kinder Aggugini is transitioning from an unknown to a one to watch in the eyes of fashion critics – with the help of his most recent collaboration with Macy’s for the retailer’s first designer “Impulse” collection. Although he has been showing for four years now, he claimed it is with this season that really learned how to incorporate luxury into his collections. Known for a tailored yet slightly punky aesthetic, this season’s details included raw-edges and topstitching on body-hugging pencil skirts, beaded harnesses which wrapped around floor-sweeping frocks and structured outwear. Stark black and white was juxtaposed with a soft allover floral, echoing the signature combination of hard edge and feminine luxe.
