London-based Kerry Taylor Auctions is set to sell a range of seminal couture at the organisation’s December sale, from a rare Elsa Schiaparelli “Zodiac” jacket from 1938-39 to several pieces by designers from Worth to Poiret.
London-based Kerry Taylor Auctions‘ upcoming “Passion for Fashion” sale will take place on 3 December 2013, with previews daily from 1 December onwards at the organisation’s Bermondsey headquarters for those who would like to see the lots up close. A range of seminal apparel, accessories and paper ephemera fill the lot roster this time around, from authentic Ballets Russes costumes to Worth and Poiret gowns from the 1920s and the coup de grâce, a Lesage-embroidered Zodiac jacket from Elsa Schiaparelli’s Winter 1938-39 haute couture Astrology collection- estimated to fetch a cool £40,000 – 60,000 GBP.

Previews will take place in Bermondsey at 249-253 Long Lane, London, SE1 4PR: Sunday 1st December (12-4pm), Monday 2nd December (9am-5:30pm), and the morning-of on auction day Tuesday 3rd December (9-11am) in advance of the bidding which will commence at 2pm.
